Who is Shari White?

Early Childhood Educator, Teacher, Education Director, Advocate, Volunteer, Fundraiser and Mom

These are just a few of the different hats I have worn in my career so far. They all have one thing in common; I wear them to enrich and support the lives of our children.  From the time a child comes into the world, they need a safe and caring environment and adults around them to nurture their growth and well-being. All children need a space to be able to flourish and develop to reach their highest potential.
It would be ideal if we could create one space that worked for everybody all of the time. I would be dreaming if I thought I could make that happen.  While I know that the needs of the many at times, outweigh the needs of the few, no child should be left out or left behind.
Although our students may not always be able to speak up, I can speak out for them. 
I want to make sure all students have access to the programs and services they need. 
I want to make sure there is transparency and accountability at all levels, from the classroom teacher right up to the Director of the Board.

I want all students to be proud they graduated from the Halton District School Board and have the knowledge and skills they need to succeed for the next stages of their lives.
I am committed to making that happen.
